One of my favourite items to make are my Christmas blankets! 🥰 they just feel so magical and I love bringing those amazing memories back to life.
My Christmas blankets come with a small additional cost and there are 2 reasons for this:
The red backing fabric I use is a lot more expensive than the other colours I use for my original blankets.
Christmas clothing items, especially children’s, tend to have a lot more detail in them, more frills, more sparkles, more buttons and this generally means a lot more work goes into them.

Taking the extra time to cut and press your items, as well as ironing on a stabiliser which strengthens the fabric and allows for cleaner lines by reducing the stretch in the material whilst sewing.
We use only premium materials and high-quality fabrics. we use premium backing fabric for that extra snugglyness!
We add a super thick inner padding to make your blankets super super thick
Our standard cot size blanket is bigger than most competitors, averaging 70×90 cm against our 90x120cm blankets we offer amazing value for money.
We hand make our care instruction tags for that little extra finishing touch
We refuse to cut corners and offer our customers anything less than the best. The Little Memory Shop was founded through my own search for a premium service, a service I thought I couldn’t find. Offering this service to others makes me so proud!
The Little Memory Shop started way before I knew it… I had my first baby girl in 2015 and I’d seen the idea in a few places. I kept looking at lots of different companies and I just couldn’t choose one. Either I didn’t like the material they used, I didn’t like the edges on the front, it didn’t look snuggly enough, the lines weren’t straight enough, they looked too small or the price was just too high. I was also looking for the personal touch, I wasn’t going to send them my sentimental items if they weren’t going to treat them as if they were their own.
So I dusted my sewing machine down, ordered some materials and set to work.
It wasn’t perfect, but I loved it so much. It was everything I wanted it to be ❤
After I had my second baby girl in 2019 I knew I had to do the same so I collected her clothes up and set to work for the second time. As soon as I sat down again at that sewing machine (which I don’t think I’d used since my first daughters blanket was made) I knew I just had to do this as much as I can. I loved it, and I wanted to create these beautiful keepsakes for everyone!
This time I’d made a few changes to the process and it turned out even more perfect than I’d ever imagined. I then spent a whole week picking my eldest daughters blanket apart and re sewing it in a bid to make it the same amazing quality as her sisters was 😃
I still had some items that I hadn’t used because both my daughters had worn them. I decided I’d make a cushion with those ‘dual’ items and I was over the Moon with the result! I then asked some friends and family if I could do the same for them and thankfully they were more than willing. I used these to create a portfolio and then started advertising locally. I am so proud to say I am now receiving regular orders from across the UK with nothing but super happy customers!
